End of Year Reflection & Survey

Of all the accomplishments I made in 2019, one of the best was starting this blog. It’s been unbelievably challenging, but equally rewarding.

Obviously, readers don’t get the same experience as I do. You don’t get to see how many people read my posts each week, or the comments on the private Facebook group pages, or who shares what with whom… There are many reactions you’re not privy to.

Like, how this post’s title caused a whole bunch of teachers to LOSE THEY’RE MINDS (haha see what I did their?), or how this one really resonated with a lot of younger Ataxians, or how this article gained literal worldwide attention by being shared in both Sweden and Germany… It’s so cool connecting with other road trippers, and seeing where they have gone and what they have done. Especially since the same exact posts are pushing other readers toward taking adventures of their own.

It’s really interesting how different posts inspire entirely different people in different ways.

I do try to respect other peoples’ privacy, so I won’t post the endless screenshots I’ve taken. If you want your comments seen by all readers, please post on the blog, not Facebook or Instagram. Personally, I see and appreciate them no matter where they are. 🙂

Now, due to holiday craziness, I won’t be publishing next week. That means you’ll have to wait until January for

MY MOST EXCITING POST YET.

So, to end the year, I’ve created a brief, 10-question, completely anonymous >> survey << that I would really love for you to complete whenever you have time. It’s just meant for me to better understand what you enjoy and what I can improve upon in 2020 (though I might be writing a bit less than usual come, say, March).

And, in case you’re curious, here are my top 5 posts – in no particular order – that I enjoyed writing, re-reading, and connecting with people on:

Remember you can see a full list of every article published here. Thanks so much!!! Happy New Year!!!
